
Earlier in our marriage I was still developing my “culinary” experiments in the kitchen. I only knew a few dishes to cook which I remembered from childhood and a few restaurant dishes that I wanted to recreate. AND, there were times when we couldn’t really afford much so I would cook whatever we have. Ground beef, potatoes, onions, garlic and soy sauce were part of the staples. Since I’m Asian (I guess, *wink wink*), I can pretty much stir-fry anything then serve it with rice. My pantry has definitely improved throughout the years so I added a few more flavors into the dish. Ginger, Oyster Sauce and Bay Leaves.
