Grilled Cheese Ham Tomatoes Spinach Sandwich

Posted in  Entrees, Lunch No comments

I made my daughter a grilled cheese sandwich yesterday and as I was cutting it in triangles, the melted cheese oozing out of the bread just looked soooo delicious. I wanted one for myself, so I made one. I decided to make a hearty grilled cheese sandwich by adding ham, tomatoes, and spinach. It definitely hit the spot.

Serves: 1
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pieces of wheat bread
  • 1 piece of deli ham
  • 2 cheese slices
  • 2 thin slices of tomatoes
  • a few pieces of spinach
  • spreadable butter
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Layer your sandwich. 1 piece of wheat toast, cheese, fold the ham in half, lay 2 slices of tomatoes, spinach leaves, the other slice of cheese on top, then the other piece of toast.
  2. Heat the pan. Spread butter on top of the wheat toast. Place that buttered side onto the heated pan. Carefully spread butter on the other toast. Cook until bottom toast is golden brown or toasted then gently flip the sandwich to brown the other side.
  3. My daughter and I ate our grilled cheese sandwiches with fresh strawberries on the side. Wash it down with strawberry-vanilla yogurt smoothie if you want.
