Imagine my excitement when I received an email from Ghirardelli Chocolate asking me of my address so they could send me samples of their new chocolate products and flavors as part of their 160th year celebration campaign, EAT…BLOG…REPEAT! How can a chocoholic say no to that?

Intense Dark Variants: Midnight Reverie w/ 86% cacao. Sea Salt Soiree which is dark chocolate with sea salt and roasted almonds. Twilight Delight with 72% cacao. Evening Dream with 60% cacao. My husband and I love dark chocolates so we enjoyed these more than the kids. The bitterness was a bit too intense for their palate.

Gourmet Milk: Sea Salt Escape, 32% Cacao Creamy Devotion, Coconut Rendezvous. If you prefer that classic flavor of milk chocolate with rich decadence then you would definitely love the Gourmet Milk products. Especially the 32% Creamy Devotion. These were our favorites.

Squares: Dark Chocolate with Raspberry Filling, Dark Chocolate with Mint Filling, Milk Chocolate with Truffle Filling, Dark Chocolate with Truffle Filling, Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt Filling, and Milk chocolate with Caramel Filling. Now these were to-die-for. Bite into the chocolate square, either dark or milk chocolate, then the filling oozes out and you’ll taste this intense flavor of either raspberry, caramel, mint, sea salt, or truffle. The bitterness of the dark chocolate is not that intense compare to the Intense Dark variants so I’m pretty sure you’d be fighting your kids for these. Just imagine yourself forgetting all the stress and nuisances of the day and indulge on the rich flavors of Ghirardelli Squares, and the rest of the new products for that matter.
