$13 Worth Of Goodies From My Local Produce Vendor

Before going grocery shopping today, we decided to jinx the veggies from the store and just buy some from the local produce vendor that’s situated in the circle plaza of where we live. I knew the veggies would be much cheaper but I didn’t expect to only spend $13 for all the stuff I bought. Actually, it’s $12.50 but my husband told the vendor to keep the change.

3 yellow squash for $1.50 cents
3 zucchinis for $1.50 cents
3 long eggplants for $1
green beans for $1/pound
1 large tomato for .25 cents

seedless watermelon for $3
green chili peppers for .25
1 dozen of corn for $3
cabbage for $1

I wanted to get some peaches too but I thought 6 pieces for $2 was not really a good deal. I’m regretting it now though. If it’s still there tomorrow I’ll get some coz I love me some peaches.

This time around is the best time to visit your local farmer’s market or stop by the local vendors to get fresh and affordable fruits and produce. So check ‘em out.

What a great haul! We went to the farmer’s market last weekend too but our deals were no where near as good as what you got! Bought a bag of peaches for $5 though and they were so good! Now’s the time to buy them. Go get you some :)
