Kraft New Homestyle Mac ‘N’ Cheese

I’m pretty capable of making macaroni and cheese from scratch like Creamy Mac ‘N’ Cheese W/ Crispy Bacon Bits but my husband saw this new Kraft New Homestyle Mac ‘N’ Cheese (Old World Italian with Parmesan & Romano cheese sauce) so he grabbed it to try. There was also a coupon from Food Lion so it only cost $1.

It’s very easy to make. Just follow the instructions from the package which comes with the macaroni and packets of cheese sauce, seasoning and bread crumbs topping. You still need butter, milk, and water for boiling the pasta.

INGREDIENTS:
Kraft New Homestyle Mac ‘N’ Cheese (Old World Italian with Parmesan & Romano cheese sauce)
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup milk
6 cups of water

Per the package instructions:

Boil 6 cups of water. Stir in the macaroni. Cook for 7-8 minutes. Drain bu do no rinse. Set aside.

Melt butter in the pot. Stir in the seasoning mix until blended. Gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir until the sauce starts bubbling and has thickened.

Preheat the oven to 355°.

Add the cheese sauce. Stir until well-blended. Dump the cooked macaroni into the sauce. Stir then transfer into a pan. Sprinkle the bread crumbs on top. Stick it in the oven to bake for 10 minutes.

It’s suggested to be a dinner in itself but I wouldn’t go that far. A 12.6oz package is perfect for a side dish to serve 4 people. I supposed you could use 2 packages to make a hearty dinner out of it. Get creative by adding other elements like bacon, or make a casserole with browned ground beef or cooked chicken cubes.

Kraft New Homestyle Mac ‘N’ Cheese
also come in other 2 variations which are Classic Cheddar and Hearty Four Cheese.

This isn’t a sponsored post. Kraft doesn’t know me!
