I couldn’t think of a clever title to introduce Angel Hair pasta as the noodles I used for this Lo Mein. Beef, Broccoli, & Shitake Mushrooms Angel Hair Lo Mein sounded pretty good to me. Angel Hair happens to be my favorite pasta so I try to use it more besides making regular spaghetti, or baked spaghetti or Shrimp Alfredo out of it.
Guess what? You can use spaghetti noodles or Angel Hair to make Asian noodle-based dishes.
Cook the angel hair pasta according to the box. Yah know, boil water, then add the pasta and cook until al dente.
Heat up oil in a sauté pan. Add the chopped onions and garlic to cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the sliced beef. Stir and cook until tender. It should be about 3-4 minutes.
Add1 1/2 cup of water. Season with 3 tsp of soy sauce, 1 small block of beef bouillon, and 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce. Let that boil for a bit.
Add the chopped broccoli florets and softened shitake mushroom. Cover the pan to cook and soften the veggies. Don’t overcook. You want to maintain the crispy texture of broccoli.
Drain the water off of the pasta, then dump into the sauce and broccoli mixture.
Stir everything around and cook for another 2 minutes.
Easy and delicious!! I didn’t even break a sweat. You wouldn’t either. Serve it for lunch or dinner.
