All-Star Chefs For CHOPPED Charity Competition

One of my favorite shows in Food Network is CHOPPED. Hosted by Ted Allen, 4 chefs compete in a series of rounds which are the appetizer round, main entrée and dessert round wherein one chef is eliminated in the first two rounds leaving 2 chefs to battle it out for the final dessert course. The chefs have to create dishes using the ingredients ranging from weird, unconventional food combinations found in a mystery basket which usually throws them off. The ultimate winner gets $10k and bragging rights for not being CHOPPED.

Food Network has upped the ante and is giving away $50,000 to a charity. This time around, it’s an ultimate Chopped Kitchen TV Competition featuring 16 Food Network celebrated chefs. This all-star CHOPPED competition will be in 5 installments starting on March 6th at 9pm Eastern Time.

The Chefs competing in the different rounds are:
March 6th– Brad Sorenson, Debbie Lee, Lisa Garza, Michael Proietti
March 13th – Anne Burrell, Claire Robinson, Duff Goldman, Robert Irvine
March 20th – Anita Lo, Beau MacMillan, Jacques Torres, Nate Appleman
March 27th – Aaron Sanchez, Amanda Freitag, Geoffrey Zakarian, Maneet Chauhan

CULINARY ‘ALL-STARS’ ENTER ‘CHOPPED’ KITCHEN FOR $50K CHARITY PRIZE

The winner from each round will compete in the final showdown on April 3rd, 9pm. These fabulous chefs will be judged by CHOPPED equally celebrated and renowned chefs and food critics in the culinary industry including Chris Santos, Marc Murphy, Marcus Samuelsson and Alex Guarnaschelli.

  2. Feistycook says:

@Todd, I wouldn’t call their critiques as talking shit about them. Their food had to be judged, nothing personal.

  3. Tyler Cluthe says:

Funny how “acclaimed” chefs Alex Guarnaschelli, Chris Santos and that Conant idiot didn’t step up and enter the competition. Kudos to Sanchez, Freitag, Zakarian and the others for having the balls to take the heat.

hit it on the nose tyler.id love to have a showdown with those 3,esp. conant the sissyarian. and put red onions in his basket since he loves them so much. and grana padana parmesan cheese along with clams. he’d def. leave the cheese off and the red onions,id chop his likeness 1st round. anyone who charges$25 for spaghetti and meatballs needs to be chopped.
