Spicy Pork, Tofu and Asparagus Stir-Fry

This is another dish in my 2010 folder that never made it to the foodblog so I’m posting it now. I make simple dishes on a daily basis that sometimes I feel shy in posting some here. I need to remind myself that Feistycook is all about easy and simple homemade dishes that are good. This is one of them.

INGREDIENTS:
pork, cut in thin cutlets
1 pack of firm tofu
half-a-bunch of asparagus, cut in half
2 tbsp of chili garlic sauce
3 tbsp of soy sauce
1 sm onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/2 cup of water
oil for stir-frying

Heat up oil in a wok. Fry up the tofu to brown. Transfer in a plate then set aside.

Put the onions and garlic in the wok to sauté. Add the thin pork cutlets. Cook until tender. Stir in the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce and water. Let it cook for a few more minutes.

Add the asparagus to cook for a few minutes. Not too long coz you want to retain its color and crunchy texture.

Turn the stove off. Return the tofu and stir everything together.

Serve with white rice.

I am guilty of doing the same thing, not blogging some dishes because I think them too simple. That’s why for the longest time, I didn’t have any adobo recipe because it’s one of those dishes that I take for granted. We have it all the time!

This dish though, is definitely blog worthy :) It sounds and looks delicious. Your presentation even looks great!
