Part of my husband’s birthday dinner last week was Lobster Bisque. I did not make it as indicated in the title and by the picture itself. I bought a pre-made one from a wholesale store called BJ’s. The Lobster Bisque is from Legal Sea Foods brand. 2 containers of this size cost $11.99.

Per the printed instruction on the container, the lobster bisque can be heated through stove top of microwave so it was pretty easy.

What is a bisque anyway? Basically, it’s a creamy, thick and deliciously seasoned soup according to wikipedia. Bisque can be made from crabs, clams, shrimp and even crayfish but I’m familiar with Lobster Bisque.

Legal Sea Foods’ Lobster Bisque was quite good. It was creamy, smooth, tasty and has generous chunks of lobster meat. Not a lot but enough to satisfy anyone. 1 container (1 quart) serves 2 people if you use small mugs, a tea cup to be specific.

Thank you so much, I’ll have to subscribe your feed and read the rest I think. The first date my wife and I had nearly 20 years ago now was a lovely seafood restaurant in Napoli, so I’ve been spending so long trying to rediscover a decent grilled lobster recipe like we had that night – our anniversary is next month so I’m hoping to surprise her!

I must have received a bad batch, I couldn’t get my cat to even touch it. We threw it out.
