Mostaccioli With Spaghetti Meat Sauce

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • a box of Mostaccioli pasta (or any other kind of pasta)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 small can of tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • sprinkle of dried basil
  • sprinkle of dried oregano
  • sprinkle of salt and pepper

Cook the pasta according to the box, al dente most preferably.

In a non-stick pan, brown ground beef. Drain most of the grease. Sautee garlic and onions. Cook that for a bit then stir in the diced tomatoes. Sprinkle dried basil, dried oregano, salt and pepper and sugar.

Simmer the sauce in low setting for 15-20 minutes.

Either mix together the pasta and meat sauce together or put the sauce on top of the pasta, it’s up to you. I personally like combining the sauce and pasta before serving.
