Can you believe I made these fudgy & chocolate chips brownies earlier last month and I’m just now posting it? Food blogging is hard when you’re taking pictures of your own dishes, then having to do the step-by-step. While cooking and posting. It’s quite overwhelming but I love showing you guys that cooking is not something to be afraid of. It’s very fun and very rewarding
.
I actually adapted this recipe from the back of the Meadow Gold condense milk. It originally called for coffee and chopped almonds but I changed the coffee into chocolate chips left out the nuts. and So here you go, hope you like it…
INGREDIENTS :
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk or dark)
Preheat the over to 350°. Combine 1 cup of flour and sugar.
Cut in the butter with a fork until crumbly.
Press firmly at the bottom of a 13 by 9 inch baking pan. Bake it in the oven for 15 minutes.
While the crust is baking, in a mixing bowl, combine the condense milk, cocoa, egg, the remaining 1/4 cup of flour, vanilla, and baking powder. Mix everything together. Stir in the chocolate chips in the end.
Spread over the baked prepared crust. Bake for 20 minutes or until the center is set. You’ll know it’s set if you dip a toothpick in it and the toothpick comes out clean.
Cool the brownies before cutting into squares.
Ummmm, nom noms. I was going to suggest to stick with 1 brownie square but you know damn well that would be hypocritical coming from me so instead I’ll ask, a cup of cold milk anyone?, hehe.
