I have a few more bottles of Captain Morgan’s Mojito drink so I thought I’d use a cup from one bottle to marinate a flank steak. Alcohol induced meat, grilled to perfection afterwards is delish :) .

You don’t need much for the marinade. This is a simple dish perfect for grilling.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 1 cup of Captain Morgan’s Mojito
  • flank steak

Using  a  marinating pan/container, rub the flank steak on both sides with olive oil. Season each sides with the steak seasoning. Then pour the mojito on top. Marinate for about an hour before grilling.

Grill both side. The times depends how you like your grilled steaks. I like mine medium. A little pink but not bleeding. My husband prefer it medium rare but he’ll eat medium since he knows that’s how I like mine. Unless we’re grilling individual steaks (or dining out), it’s medium that’s followed in the house :) .

Once taken out of the grill, let it stand for 2-3 minutes. You want the juice to seal in the steak before slicing it diagonally.

Served with Pasta Roni pasta sides (creamy parmesan) and fresh buttered corn.

That is seriously one good looking steak! I’ll have to try that mojito marinade. If it’s as good as the drink, then the steak must be delish :)
